1874 Oct 24Pa bought land, they lived in the dugout for a year before they built a house. They lived in a house near the church in Walnut Grove in the fall but moved back to the farm in the spring of 1876.

1889 Aug 23House on Almanzo's tree claim burned and was rebuilt.

1892 AugLaura and Almanzo return to De Smet for their 7th wedding anniversary. They lived in a house south of the Methodist Church.

1894 SeptWilders purchased Rocky Ridge farm in Missouri.
1901 Oct. 11Grace married Nathan Dow of Manchester, S.D. at the Ingalls home in De Smet. Harvey Dunn, famous painter, was a nephew of Mr. Dow.
1902 June 8Charles (Pa) Ingalls died and is buried in the De Smet Cemetary, age 67.
1909 Mar 24Rose Wilder married Gillette Lane at San Francisco.
1909 SeptCarrie received a homestead patent on WI/2 NWI/4 & WI/2 of SWI/2 9-4-20 at Phillip, SD
1911Laura and Almanzo began writing for the Missouri Ruralist
1912 Aug 1Carrie married David Swanzey of Keystone, SD
1918Rose and Gillette Lane are divorced.
1920'sRose Wilder Lane wrote "Let The Hurricane Roar" while she lived at her parents home. She and her parents also provided a home for 2 boys.
1924 April 20Caroline (Ma) Ingalls died at De Srnet, buried in the De Smet Cemetary, age 84.
