| 1874 Oct 24 | Pa bought land, they lived in the dugout for a year before they built a house. They lived in a house near the church in Walnut Grove in the fall but moved back to the farm in the spring of 1876. |

| 1901 Oct. 11 | Grace married Nathan Dow of Manchester, S.D. at the Ingalls home in De Smet. Harvey Dunn, famous painter, was a nephew of Mr. Dow. |
| 1902 June 8 | Charles (Pa) Ingalls died and is buried in the De Smet Cemetary, age 67. |
| 1909 Mar 24 | Rose Wilder married Gillette Lane at San Francisco. |
| 1909 Sept | Carrie received a homestead patent on WI/2 NWI/4 & WI/2 of SWI/2 9-4-20 at Phillip, SD |

| 1924 April 20 | Caroline (Ma) Ingalls died at De Srnet, buried in the De Smet Cemetary, age 84. |
| 1928 Oct. 17 | Mary Ingalls died at Carrie's home in Keystone, SD, burial at the De Smet Cemetary, age 63. |
